Good afternoon to all readers! Today I would like to tell you about my old dream and recent acquisition - the GeForce RTX 3060 OC video card. For a long time, my old computer could not cope with the loads during games, often crashed and generally lived out its last days. I decided to replace my GeForce GTX 980 with a newer version of the video card from Nvidia.

It was in July last year, even before the rise in price of video cards against the backdrop of increased demand for cryptocurrency mining. If we compare the cost at which I bought and the current price on the market, then the difference is almost 2 times. This is one of the moments that I am very happy about.



Updating the rest of the components of my computer at that time was not even in the plans, but I still installed the video card.



User experience

I have been using the 3060 video card for almost a year now and I am ready to tell you about my feelings from my purchase. They are amazing. Thanks to the power of this device, I can play every new and old game imaginable at the highest graphics settings without any hesitation. Of course, in order to feel all the power in full, you will need at least a large amount of RAM, an SSD instead of an HDD, a monitor that can convey picture quality. I have already managed to update most of the components, so I can say for sure - if you bought this video card, do not spare money on memory, a lot depends on it.



From the last projects on the PC I played Cyberpank, which is very demanding, but the video card from nvidia handled this game 100%. Ultra quality is guaranteed, and without a drop in the number of frames per second.

Also, this video card supports ray tracing technology, which allows you to make the lighting in games more natural, which is really noticeable to the naked eye. For example, I was able to put shaders on my Minecraft launcher to play it with cool graphics.



I did not notice any failures in the work, but I want to warn you right away - at the beginning the computer may not see the device and you will have to install the drivers yourself. It’s good that you can find a bunch of guides and lessons on the net on how to do this.



For its price, it fully justifies itself and I hope in the future it will serve for many more years.



I recommend this model to everyone, and if you have the means, you can not regret it and buy the 3090 right away or a card from the 4* series, which should soon be on sale. The cost is still unknown, but most likely it will not be cheap.
