I should start by buying this from Gulf Coast Avionics not Revain. This GPS has proven to be reliable and trustworthy. I first bought it 2 years ago because I wanted to go to the US to get my FAA certified private pilot license and I wanted to do some cross country flights while I was there. Flying in an area I didn't know well, and particularly the LA Basin where VFR traffic and corridors are tricky, I figured I'd be well prepared if I got hold of this. Before traveling to the US, I decided to do some off roading here in Costa Rica to try it out and see how it would pan out and it went well. However, when I got the cigarette lighter from the port of the plane, it broke about 10 pieces. I was freaking out because I was due to fly to the US the next day and 2 flights were already booked. Luckily I called Bendix King and within 20 minutes they sent me a Next Day Air charger, I didn't even ask them for it, cool! Not to continue this review, I've been in the US for 15 hours playing X-Countries from KWHP to KIFP, KLSV, KSBA etc and this device has NEVER let me down. The screen was responsive, flight plans worked, and it always worked and gave me the information I needed. It also contains all the necessary information, as well as hi-enroute and low-enroute maps. It has the ability to run 2 things at once, allowing you to move back and forth with ease. I was able to update my NavData for free with Bendix King and my airport directory, even update my software version. *SCREEN* This device has a touchscreen, but please be realistic, it doesn't have an iPad screen. It's hard to get used to, but once you get the hang of it, it's easy enough and compared to Garmin I don't have to move the cursor to write a name or a new waypoint or whatever. It's fairly responsive, but remember again this isn't an Apple touchscreen. *GRAPHIC* That's what he's missing. The UI and graphics are quite dated, and that's because this "pad" uses Windows 5.0 CE. You won't find the clarity of the Garmin screen, but it's extremely easy to use and has a terrain profile so it works for me. * Bendix King CS * As I said before, Bendix King is really easy to work with. , they have phone support so no emails back and forth. I had an issue with my AV8OR where the screen became unresponsive, then I saw a crack on the screen. I called Bendix King and they emailed me ABSOLUTELY no questions or problems, they sent me a replacement, they didn't even ask me to send mine back, AMAZING CUSTOMER SERVICE. The previous reviewer said Bendix King is phasing it out, yes they discontinued the original ACE, if you look closely the new one is sharper and has rounded edges compared to the boxy original, they still provide customer service for the AV8OR series . So that's not entirely true. Bendix King is well known for its avionics and this cheap GPS is no exception to its famous name.
