We had an odor problem in my house and I have a very old septic tank so I was nervous there might be problems. With this the smell stopped and our pump said our system looked better when pumping. I don't use it like you should. I flush a cup a month down the toilet late at night when no one is using the system for 8 hours. I read somewhere what to do with these products to make them really "work". It seems to help, although who knows if you use it every week it will work even better. I just can't bring myself to do it. But the "one cup a month" regimen seems to be working great for my septic tank that we're trying to "cure" into old age.
