When I placed them on the deck, I didn't have high hopes for their brightness. The lamps are very small, run on batteries and are charged by a small solar panel. I was wrong, the lights were very bright and could be changed in different patterns e.g. B. Steady on, flashing, running, etc. I was also surprised at how long the lights stayed on. There are cloudy days in Wisconsin in December and I didn't think there would be much sunshine. I woke up a couple of times during the night and was surprised they were still on. A word of caution, the cord connecting the bulbs is very thin and can easily become tangled. If I move them I plan to use some sort of coil to keep them in order. For the price I am very happy with these lamps.
