I don't like soccer so I didn't get them because of my connection to Tom Brady, I just thought they were cool. Now that I've had them for a few weeks, I can confirm that they are great! The frames are made of bioplastic: 100% biodegradable acetate that uses natural resins from wood and cotton, which can degrade over 90% in 115 days. There is metal in the handles. The lenses are made of recyclable plastic. I doubt many of these are actually recycled, but it's still nice to see premium brands making the switch to more sustainable options. I took the frame color Tonic Grey, which is a fully transparent mid-grey. You look very stylish. I have a big head and they are very comfortable. When I bend fully they can rise and fall, so it's probably not the best choice for active wear; They're not nearly as safe as my Oakley wrap-around glasses, but they're fashion sunnies, so they're not designed for that. The very first time I put them on I almost dropped them on the floor and bent down to pick something up. The handles are spring loaded so they open with a smooth and comfortable motion. The marketing materials say they "fold up like the doors of a sports car," which is a great description. Polarized lenses do a great job of reducing glare. Optically they are very clear, with no noticeable distortion. The lenses have a slight green tint (in the Gray Tonic color option) which is more noticeable when looking through the lenses than when you look at them. The sunglasses are beautifully packaged in a hard case embossed with 'CLOOS X BRADY - DANISH EYEWEAR'. foil on it. The case is presented in a black outer box with the same embossing. It all adds up to a premium branded experience that you would expect at this price point. The inside of the glasses case has six foil embossed rings (for the six Super Bowl rings Tom Brady won, but I think they need to add one ring now as he just won another). An interesting clue that you may not have noticed. know: While researching for this review, I found out that Christopher Cloos is not named after the designer, as assumed, but after a man whom the two founders of the brand met in southern France and who introduced himself by this nickname. timeless, classic and comfortable to wear. They are beautifully designed and made and also have quality polarized lenses so I would say they are worth the price which is actually quite reasonable for quality sunglasses.
