Could be better for the price

I was very impressed with the good packaging of this cabinet. Everything was separated by bubble wrap, styrofoam foil and styrofoam plates. Unboxing was a headache, but I know it was done to protect the product, so I appreciate it. Even the bundle of fasteners was tied with string to prevent them from scattering inside the box. What I think of the cabinet itself: Build level: Lightweight without a drill. One is much easier. The instructions suggest two people, but this is not necessary. This will somewhat speed up the process of installing the doors, but you cannot do without outside help. Be careful when putting on the two back parts. The pre-drilled holes are misaligned and this will cause you to split the boards inside even if the screws are tiny. Quality and Aesthetics: Appearance and quality are good but could be a bit better. The paintwork is really smooth except for a stain on the front door which is not very noticeable but is still there. The doors open smoothly, and the cabinet itself is sturdy and of adequate weight. However, if you're concerned that things aren't symmetrical, you can opt out. The front doors didn't line up properly and I did everything I could to fix it but to no avail. They are noticeably off, but I can live with that. If this is not possible, be aware of this possible defect. Either the hinge or the holes are not drilled. In any case, there is room for improvement. The paint also smells, so you might want to let it air out in a safe, dry place for a few days before setting it in place. I don't notice the smell unless I'm standing right next to the closet, but everyone reacts to smells differently, so be careful. Feature: So far, so good. Enough space inside for everything you need to store in the bathroom or living room if that fits. As for the 10lb per shelf weight limit, I personally think they could handle a lot more, but make your own judgement. I would advise being careful when placing things on top. I'm not saying the finish will scratch easily, but I wouldn't test the theory. General opinion: too expensive for this size and quality. I've seen bigger, better looking cabinets for a lot less money. That's not to say these cabinets have gotten any better, but if size is important to you, you'll likely be disappointed. There's also the issue of quality at this price point as I expect better craftsmanship at this price point. As I said, it was packaged well and looks good, but I can't completely influence my opinion of the product as a whole. It could have been better. Given the bumps in the doors and the pre-drilled holes for the tails, I'm giving it 4 stars. If the price improves I'd say it's 4.5.
