I have bought many different types of double sided tape because I have a computer and electronics repair business. When repairing electronics, double-sided tape usually helps when you don't want to resort to glue. I've used Swelder and other brands but I've always known 3M to be the best because whenever I bought products with 3M already applied I was confident the item would stay in place. So I finally bought a roll of 3M special double sided tape. This tape is just amazing. This doesn't work on every surface; I had some problems with gluing plastic. In most cases, however, 3M's external mounting tape is a great solution for holding something in place. I've used it in laptops and desktops to hold components securely in place. I've used it on wood and metal. Overall this is an excellent product. I'll have to buy a smaller, thinner version for phone and mobile use, but for almost anything else this band will likely work. It doesn't look like a normal band. It has a sticky, gummy consistency similar to cement. For this reason it is somewhat flexible. For my applications I prefer it that way. The pressure allows it to contract slightly and mold around the object. In addition, when applied, it is not impossible to separate like some adhesives. Overall I will stick with 3M from now on because unlike other manufacturers they have never let me down. Highly recommended.
