Review on NEC PA271W-BK 2560x1440 27-Inch Monitor by Eric Nelson

I ordered this monitor from Adorama through Revain on November 19, 2013. Two weeks after receiving the monitor, a defect was discovered. When loading, everything was blurry. The colors didn't seem to match, almost like a 3D effect. I rebooted and everything was fine, so I thought everything was fine, it's just a minor bug. This then happened twice more after the 30-day return guarantee to Adorama expired. They sent me a message with information on how to contact NEC as I was unable to send it back to them. I called and NEC immediately sent me a replacement (FYI they blocked your credit card for $990) which I thought was brand new but ended up being refurbished because of their 30 day return policy for the new policy has expired. They also require me to pay for the defective model to be returned which costs $100 out of my pocket which I am not happy with. (Weighs 38 pounds and was supposed to ship across the country to California from my home state of Pennsylvania :( ) I was told I had a 4 year warranty on the rebuilt model from the date of purchase, so if anything goes wrong you can I do get another refurbished model I'm not sure I'll be happy with the result and am becoming much more aware of the strict return policy of the company I'm buying from as well as the company that makes the product I don't want to pay for expensive broken hardware just to keep paying shipping to get one that finally works I'm crossing my fingers for what I've learned I would attach a picture of the defect but I don't know how I'll update either , if for some reason I encounter further problems.
