This 6mm eyepiece comes in handy when viewing lunar details. I thought that a 6mm eyepiece would have an unbelievably small pin hole to look through, but to my surprise, I was able to see a great number of details, considering the fact that my vision is nowhere near 20/20. I would suggest using it without a barlow lens as the magnification makes it next to impossible to locate an object with such small eyepiece. A lunar filter can also be attached to the bottom. I would recommend a set of color filters for $20 or $30. Based on experience, I can say that they work better than a single lunar filter or polarizing filter and they cost less. They cam also be combined to make your own color preference. For best results, turn off any lights and allow your eyes to adjust for a while.
