Missing Monfrotto QR code required for registration

The tripod itself looked perfect when received. However, when I tried to register the product with Manfrotto, the required QR code was missing. I opened a ticket with Manfrotto and they indicated that they would not redeem the 10 year guarantee without a QR code. Unfortunately I sent the tripod back to Revane. My photo on the right shows where the QR code should be. It was on the label on the box. This area was "painted over" so that the QR code was not visible.
