Just replaced the switch on my 2015 klr-650 with this product. Installation was easy enough: unscrew one screw from the old switch, replace the new one, and tighten. Just got back from a bike ride around the block to check it out. I literally rode no more than 2km and shifted no more than 4-5 times in total. I had trouble getting the bike from neutral to 1 in the first few cycles, so I pounded on it hard. Nothing out of the ordinary, it was all done from a seated position and not as hard as I was twiddling the original switch. After just a few hits, I couldn't even get the bike into second gear because the shifter was bent under the engine cover. I thought I hadn't tightened the screws enough so I jumped down to check and sure enough the metal switch was totally bent. It's so pliable that I pulled it by hand and put it back into place. I'm not entirely sure what type of metal they use for this part, but it's very weak. Especially for an adventure bike that has to stand up to every test.
