We bought these for some Renaissance suits - the straps at the widest part barely fit me (at a 41" chest) so I doubted they would fit my husband - of course not - he wanted it wearing a light armored shirt over that, but his chest size is 44.5" and the straps at the widest point don't fit him - I'm skipping this article because I can get replacement straps at a craft store and put together something that works for that, what we wanted but I'm disappointed that I have to take this step, I really appreciate the listing that makes it clear that it's not intended for high performance PROS: well the price seems solid enough for costume purposes. First class delivery. CONS: Will not fit anyone with a chest over 42 inches and even that will be comfortable, not real leather (good for me, maybe not for you)
