When I heard the sound 1 time, my dog got angry. It wears an underground fence collar and when it approaches the fence it makes the same noise as this unit. Trouble is, if he stays in that range, he'll go into shock. So when he hears the sound of the anti-bark device, he thinks that wherever he is, he's in the wrong place when he barks, and he thinks he's going to get electrocuted. Afterwards, he didn't feel safe going outside and urinated on the floor. It's been weeks and he's still shaking. I would not recommend it if your dog is being trained with the same sound for other purposes.
