I bought these with the intention of brightening up a long winter night and I'm glad I did. This light is very soft and they gave off just the right amount of light. For a person who can only sleep on pitch black nights, I had no problem with that. The lamp socket design is pretty good: I love that you can rotate the orientation of the salt lamp to match the direction of the socket. As a result, the night light fits into any socket despite the heavy upper part. Assembly was easy and they look good. I hope the salt doesn't melt as fast as my salt lamp.
