I have been able to enlarge all my rings with these tools. I have had many rings that were too small and I have happily filled them with larger ones. Very easy to use. Instructions are not required. A heavy steel mandrel is used to power the back of the ring. The dimensions of the ring are marked on the aluminum mandrel for lighters. Use it as a gauge only - don't tap with a hammer. The sizes of the rings are not indicated on the adjustment rings - this is a disadvantage. Subtract a star. The included hammer is very gentle on the rings so I used my steel hammer to quickly resize. Easy to use.
