12.8" x 9" laptop barely Did Fit. I had to insert it upside down into the pocket formed under the zipper first and then squeeze kinda sideways thro the opening into the pack, but it works. Once in there my laptop swims around. Manufacturer take note: the zipper opening is not big enough compared to the ample space inside. This is a nice shiny city bag with lots of potential, but for my informal travel thro India I think I'll find a breathable fabric. Love the safety features of this like the opening being in the back. I also could tuck the zipper tab into the zipper and with the added decorative flap keep pick pocketers guessing as to which side the zipper end to even try to get to. It has a nice finished look with the piped vinyl despite it looking kinda frumpy because it's big and not able to keep it's shape really. It's a nice sized pack- seems slightly wider and deeper than I need, but come time to use it, would be great!
