Review on πŸš— Stay Warm and Refreshed on the Road with the Sunsbell Car Kettle Boiler 750ml Stainless Steel Mug + DC 12V Charger - Perfect Car Travel Cup Warmer! by Michelle Marsden

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Well made, I would buy again!

Fits in the driver's side cup holder of my car with the cup holder's rubber insert removed. It takes about 30 minutes for the green light to turn on. I've been using it 3 times a day in my 2005 Ford Focus for the past few months and I'm very happy with it. The tip of the connector gets quite hot when the green light comes on and then cools down fairly quickly, but until then you have to be careful what it's touching. hot enough to melt the fibers of my car carpet! The heating coil is inside, so the device should only be used to heat clear water. I use distilled water to keep mineral deposits from forming on the spool. Well thought out product, highly recommended. Edit: I bought another one for a friend and the tip of the fork isn't making contact with his '91 Toyota MR2. I bought him a $12 Bestek 150W splitter with two cigarette lighter outputs and two USB outputs, problem solved. It uses all outlets, cellphones in USB, and the other cigarette lighter port has a $12 Drok voltmeter/thermometer that I bought him along with the kettle. If you're trying to use the kettle without starting the motor, grab this voltmeter and he and I love it! A car battery is actually rated at 12.6 volts and leaving the battery below 12.4 volts for an extended period of time will result in sulphation. (Edit: sulphation is the correct spelling, not sulphation.) 2nd edit: The plug started falling apart when I unplugged it while it was still hot. I replaced them with a much better fork, I'm pretty sure I'll never have a fork problem again. Carvya 16 AWG Cigarette Lighter Adapter Power Cord (Revain $8) Irwin Vise-Grip Wire Stripper (and Crimp) Tool (Revain $8) 16/18 AWG Blue Insulated Crimp Butt Connectors ($25 / $2.50 at Home Depot.)
