This product was recommended to me by a technician at my orthodontist after he discussed the fact that I couldn't completely clean my clear retainer. I read the reviews and was a little apprehensive about the product but I have to say that both of my oral devices have never been cleaner or dirty since I received them. I didn't notice any odor after washing, and I didn't notice any lingering taste. I rinse them thoroughly and comb them out after taking them out of the solution. The first few times I let them sit for about twenty minutes each to check them out. Next time I let them sit for a few hours and then they were completely spot free. Now I leave them in the solution for about 30 minutes to disinfect and remove light stains. I can't believe how clean they are, especially my oral apnea device which is white and very prone to heavy staining. Now it's like new! The solution is reusable, which is great. You may or may not keep your fixatives in solution. Considering the multiple uses of each pack (10 or 11 soaks I think) this is a lot. I am more than satisfied with this vacuum cleaner!
