I got one of the "water resistant indoor/outdoor" beds and I was disappointed pretty quickly. It looks like it's filled well and appears puffed up, but as soon as there is weight on it, the air being pushed out by compaction makes the bed bulge out suddenly since it's slow to escape the water-resistant cover and makes my dogs nervous. As the air escapes slowly, the bed compacts down quite a bit leaving very little cushion between the dog and the ground. On the plus side, the cover is obviously fairly well woven to be able to hold the air in that well, but I doubt my dogs will use it because of the air bubble effect. I tried leaving the cover slightly unzipped to allow an easier exit for the air and it only mildly improved the situation. I may use some old pillows or other bed filler I have from older, torn beds to compensate while leaving the zipper more open. It will mostly be kept on a covered patio or in the yard but will be brought in from bad weather. I'm not very happy with the purchase and would not recommend it.
