I wanted one but ended up returning it for two reasons: 1. The color is too greenish yellow in my opinion. I didn't get warm then. This could probably be mitigated somewhat by painting the glass some speckled red or orange, but I haven't tried that as it's more important2. The shimmering pattern was too harsh and gave me a jittery feeling every few seconds as it almost faded into darkness for a moment. If you had multiple of these bulbs in a candelabra whose flicker cycles were out of sync you might never notice it, but in a single bulb fixture, I wanted it to be more distracting than comforting. . Also, you may be less sensitive to high frequency LED flicker (from dimmers, projectors, taillights, etc.) than I am. I have to say I liked that this lamp doesn't have the annoying multi-mode feature that some of the larger ones have; You turn it on and it's a flame every time. If I had to suggest an improvement to manufacturers, I would use several different shades of LEDs between amber and orange, and then frost the glass a bit to diffuse the light. Perhaps the flickering animation could also be quieter, more like a candle on a mantel than a windblown lantern.
