This is just what I needed for flash drives. Lately they don't have straps anymore and don't quite fit the key ring anymore (the hole is too small). But now with these laces I can tie them all to the ring. No washers lost :D. The only downside is that they are small (medium little fingernail is small) and difficult to hold when attaching, but no tools required. Remember that the window opening (inside and outside) must be closed. Together the ring does not expand. See my photo.
