Not as small as it looks

Important to know about this loaf pan: A standard US loaf pan weighs about 1.25 lbs (I'm no pro as far as I can see). It's a 1lb pan, so it's definitely smaller, but only 20%. At first I thought this pan was too small until I pulled out a Whole Foods Brioche and found it fit perfectly. Functionally, this is a good pan. I put a stop to the force as the lid doesn't snap and can slip when moving the pot. It's a minor annoyance, but not a deal breaker. Thanks to the lid, you can easily ferment in the pan. My honey wheat loaf came out well baked with a great crust. My tip: If you want to bake bread and don't realize you're buying bread from the supermarket two days in advance, this is a great frying pan. Otherwise I would consider a 1.25 lb pan without a lid.
