The only major disappointment with this desk is that the color is much darker than the photos, too dark for my decor. But it wasn't worth the cost of shipping such a large and heavy item back, so I decided to live with it. (You take risks when you buy furniture online.) On the plus side, they arrived in perfect condition - very well packaged, without the flaws that some reviewers complained about. And it was very easy to assemble - just 8 screws and you're done. You should have a second person support the rather heavy drawer knot while you screw the knot onto the legs. No one was around the day I set out to assemble it, but I made a pile of boxes, books, and magazines to hold the assembly at the correct height while I bolted it to the legs. It worked great. Aside from the colour, I'm very happy with the look of the table - I love the graceful curve of the legs and the fact that a drawer at the bottom gives the table a 'mundane' look in contrast to the heavy top. See what most other console tables have. It's a bit awkward to bend down to get something out of the drawer, but it's worth it given how beautiful the table lines are. A slight disappointment is that the box is much smaller inside than you would expect given the outside dimensions of the box assembly. But I manage to pack in what I really wanted like a flashlight, tennis ball and a few other dog walking essentials. All in all I am satisfied with the purchase.
