I bought a 3XXL shirt for my 43lb husky who was going crazy with allergies and was scratching and licking his sides. It's tight, but because the fabric is 95% cotton and 5% spandex, it has enough stretch to fit true to size. It would be nice if it was bigger. These shirts were perfect for what I needed them for: covering my dog's sides and arms to protect him from fur licking and skin damage. As an added bonus, it softens it like a Thundershirt and reduces scratches. This is a well tailored shirt that comes in two lovely colors and looks really cute on my dog. The fabric is durable, not frayed or torn even after numerous scratches. The seams are strong and hold up well given the tight fit and the fact that I have to stretch to put them on my dog. I only washed it once and didn't put it in the dryer because I didn't want to shrink it, but the fabric looked the same after washing. I also like the cut of the tummy so he doesn't get his shirt dirty when he goes to the bathroom. Also, you get two shirts so you have an extra shirt while one gets washed, which was important as the second one I take off my dog starts scratching stupidly. All in all, this is probably one of the nicest shirts I've ever seen. . It really helped my dog get rid of the itch, I just wish it was bigger.
