these guys are pretty strong. The plastic is tough but the metal is very strong. Installation is quick but I ran into some issues on my xr650l. had to grind the mount down but as soon as i fell it still slipped and the mount dented my tank. I thought I had a gap but maybe handlebar flex or who knows what. In any case, the brackets can have a different shape or come with a second longer bracket. Either way, you'll need to bend the bar or grind down part of the mounting bracket, or a combination of both, to secure the bike. The price is right.
