I strongly suspect the positive reviews were there when the price was lower because it just isn't good quality at $60+. There are a number of issues, but I'll start with the positives. Advantages: 1. It is bright when the light is not colored. It will illuminate the whole room.2. Has different colors and dimmers. Disadvantages: 1. Colors are not bright. You can't see when the color is on.2. Installation is incredibly difficult. It should have 2 LONG hot and neutral wires like any other light source. Instead it has a junction box with 1 inch wire. So it's impossible to install. I added extension cords based on another comment. If I hadn't read this I would have returned it.3. The WLAN connection has no range. Any other device can access it from this location, but not easily without moving the router.4. Don't stay connected. Every time I open the app the light needs to be reconnected which takes 5-10 minutes due to issue #3. It's a $20 trick, a $60 fee and up. My advice, take a chance with a highly rated competitor.
