I don't know why nobody has mentioned this but I bought this product to use between my 8700k and a heatsink and it was a horrible idea. The spacer is big enough to cover the entire processor, but it's too thick. It was like putting a thick piece of cheese under the heatsink and it gave the expected temperature result - the processor temperature went up. Honestly, I suspect that not just this product, but all thermal pads are likely to give similar results and are a bad idea for CPU applications. I ended up using a thin layer of thermal paste and that solved my problem. The bottom line is, don't try to reinvent the wheel - use a thin coat of good old thermal paste and save money and headaches!
