fireproof? Hm. Good for security

The definition of "fireproof" is "impenetrable or resistant to fire damage." When I first received this product I did a test to make sure. I wanted to be sure that my important documents would be protected during a fire. Here are my findings. I brought the flame of the lighter to the gray base material of this document case for 5 seconds. It did not burn through, although the flames left a sooty trail that could not be extinguished. Not impenetrable. But he was persistent. Then I brought the same flame to the black rim of the whistle and within a second it flared up and melted completely. Not cool. Not impenetrable. Not persistent. It's not clear why the bezel isn't made of the same flame retardant material. Instead, it burns out immediately, leaving oxygen entry points inside. And oxygen is the fuel of fire. Disappointed.
