Adapt 660 Review In-Ear Headphones

Having been a Sennheiser fan for years and buying headset after headset, I decided to try their business class offering for work. After just one day of use, I came to the following conclusions: 1. At the end of the first day, wearing the headset for only 8 hours, my skull started to hurt. The padding over this headset is not enough for a typical workday.2. The microphone emits a constant static tone when speaking. I contacted support for help with this issue after one of my customers complained. I was sent a copy/paste of the instructions on how to resync Bluetooth on my phone. This didn't solve the problem. I then called my wife on an iPhone just a few rooms down to test the mic. The same problem occurs. All calls were made from a Samsung S20 Ultra with the Sennheiser app installed. I'm not sure if this headset is defective or not.3. In an attempt to bypass the microphone, I tried using the included 3.5mm jack. That's when I found out that although the connector is 3-pin, it doesn't support voice. This has been confirmed by the support team. This means that static electricity on the microphone is not reduced. If the battery is empty, you cannot use the optional 3.5mm jack. It also means you can't use this headset on a console like Xbox. Bad news aside, I'm happy to report that the directional audio cancellation on the mic is a good thing. However, when I stood in front of the keyboard (mechanical), every keystroke was picked up by the microphone. If I turn my back to the keyboard, it stops. Although it does not help at work. The noise cancellation is very good, but not as good as my Bose headset. Finally, as expected from Sennheiser, the sound of the speakers is amazing. However, amazing sound is not enough to compensate for the microphone's static charge. The inability to use the 3.5mm jack, and more importantly, the inability to use it for full workdays without discomfort. Unfortunately I have to send them back.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Nothing
