I've been looking for something to hide my litter box for a long time. Many of them tend to be too small (not big enough or not high enough, only accommodating a small tray). I needed something that would allow my kittens to move around easily. It's nothing fancy (more like what you'd put in a basement) and therefore quite expensive for what it is. Ikea style and very, very cheap pine for potential splinters (wood can shatter into pieces, be careful). However, it is well built and durable enough for kittens. And best of all, it's the perfect size to hide a large litter box without the hassle of getting the kittens in. Pine wood is untreated, so no chemicals, and that's a good thing. You need to heal him, especially since you need to flatten potential shards (this is important!). I use non-toxic products that are safe for pets. I painted the outside with water based paint. And I use beeswax based wood conditioner. You can find all of this on Revain. As mentioned, expect some work. The lack of assembly and the ability to easily flip it back to a flat state helps a lot.
