In the past I've bought a few moon lamps as gifts etc. but most of these are only 1-2 colors and have limited control. When I saw the 16 color lamp I had to look at it. I'm glad I did as the lamp is much more functional with additional color controls and power options. Most lights stay on all the time unless you unplug and change color (yellow to white etc.) on their own. This lamp allows you to stay on any color you want indefinitely. It also supports flashing colors and fading. This allows you to change the brightness and turn the actual lamp on and off while the moon is still hovering, which is a nice feature. The build quality of the actual lamp is standard but looks good, and the 3D printed moon is solid. On my other lamps I've owned in the past, the moon itself only rotated for about an hour before stopping. On this lamp (and maybe it's just luck) the moon rotates undisturbed for a week or more. The initial placement of the moon is a little tricky, but with patience and the moon slowly sinking towards the base, it stabilized and hasn't moved since. If the plug is actually removed from the base, the moon will fall (as with all of these lamps). Really cool new product and I highly recommend it.
