Holds iPad securely, opens easily without wobbling, and magnetically turns iPad on and off. It works so well you don't have to think about it. It also makes it easier to record your iPad from different angles. It might not be the highest level of protection or durability, but I'm fairly cautious with my $1,000 device, so for me this is exactly the level of protection and comfort I need. The lid can also be folded into a triangle to form a sort of low stand that actually puts the iPad at a nice slanted landscape angle, making it easy to write on when taking notes. I recommend adding a pen pocket to the front to store your Apple Pencil.
