Review on Focal Wireless Bluetooth Headphones Silver by Sarala Cannon

Revainrating 3 out of 5

The great sounding BT Buds are probably the best but marred by poor fit and ease of use.

Pros: The sound quality is EXCELLENT. Some of the best headphones I've heard have a driver and nothing short of Bluetooth. The sound signature is the letter V, with an emphasis especially on bass and subwoofers. You will definitely love it if you love EDM, hip hop, dance music, etc. If you like classical, jazz or want a completely neutral tone, this is not for you. These are booming but don't get me wrong they don't invent bass where there isn't, they just do a VERY good job with bass and especially the subwoofer. The mids are a bit muted, hence the V's sonic signature you'd expect from consumer headphones, while the highs are lively but not shrill. They are not at all fragile and sound even better at high frequencies after a few hours of break-in. Build quality is great too, they feel solid. The pairing process was SO EASY. Seriously, anyone having trouble setting it up is either just not tech savvy or drunk. Literally turn them on, put your phone in pairing mode, pair, done. THIS ONE. Battery life is great, 10 hours easily. They lasted a week before I had to charge them and I commute to work over 1 hour a day. Cons: The Spark's Achilles' heel is the fit and use of the earbuds themselves. Put simply, they're very uncomfortable to wear. The headphones themselves sit snugly in the ears, but the cord around the neck is inconvenient. Weight is uneven and cord is so short/inline remote is so misplaced that you have to press your neck to operate the headphones. Turning them off isn't exactly obvious either, you'll have to have them on your ear and follow the voice prompt to find out they're actually off. They sound better than any other BT IEM I've used, but the awkwardness of using the headphones themselves killed me. Note* that they're more prone to the weird BlueTooth hiccups I usually hear when crossing busy intersections. In comparison, the problem exists with my Senheiser momentum 2.0 Bluetooth headphones, but it is much less noticeable/frequent.
