Recently I have been trying to eat 'healthier' including more fiber in my diet. Ooooh, now I eat 2 slices of 12 grain plain toast every morning --- that's all well and good, except the bread loses its "fresh" flavor after 2-3 days (self toasted). I've read that bread should NEVER be refrigerated and should always use a bread bin to keep bread fresh. As a born cynic I was prejudiced on this, but for $20 I decided to buy this bread bin. I have to say this bread box lives up to the hype and my loaf of bread stays fresh for 7 days. I've read that stainless steel is a "fingerprint magnet" when you touch the body of the box; However, there is a small "knurl" on the bottom of the sliding door that I use to open and close the sliding door, and we never get fingerprints. Well, we're old folks, and I can't talk about what's going to happen when you have young folks; but if you're looking for an inexpensive, attractive, and effective lunch box, I'd suggest giving it a try.
