Why put a red light on these devices when they don't light up? I called the company and they told me it should catch fire. I've tried three different ones and they don't work. The light itself is very good. I like that it has a retractable plug and the light is bright enough and seems to last a long time except for the indicator light which didn't work. Why not just do away with light altogether instead of powering it with a bulb that doesn't work? I think I should say that I still recommend this one in other areas due to its thoughtful design. If the little red light worked I would give it four, maybe five stars. Well-designed, extra retractable plug that eliminates the need for a separate charger to plug in. It also has a function that after plugged in, it will light up automatically when you turn off the power if you flip the switch to the "on" position during charging. I have found it very helpful when you lose power in the middle of the night.
