A major improvement over the humble travel pillow.

My lady and I love to travel and it would be LOVELY to be able to fly first class or one of those luxurious suites that we see advertised but. we don't have that kind of bankroll! So you'll see us again in the "back of the plane" lines trying to get comfortable, and as you fly over the "big ponds" to the east or west, talk about the time it takes Watch 3 or more movies on these tiny screens. I'm just saying that since you will ALWAYS be jet lagged, you will have a much easier time tolerating ANY sleep pattern while flying. Enter the "travel pillow" and Mrs. and I owned (still own) several versions of these foam-lined ox-carts. After a little sleep with my neck, a cantilever between the seat or window and one of those plush horseshoes, I wake up totally refreshed! said there was no traveler there. ever. I was offered to try this inflatable pillow in exchange for this unbiased review and honestly I can't wait to try it. 1. It's inflatable - I inflated it in about 10 breaths and it deflates just as easily to just the right size to fit in a grapefruit-sized tote bag. The "head interface" is designed as the "negative" of your head - so my round head isn't trying to rest on the round foam pad, it's wiggling. Once inflated, sit it on your lap, rest your hands comfortably in the perfectly placed armrests, and then rest your weary head in the carry case.3. It snaps into a cylinder of sorts (and the part that holds your head is made out of a removable velvety terrycloth so you can wash it between rides). If you don't want to use it as a pillow, it can be opened. and assumes the function of lumbar support. I've tried it in this configuration and find it most comfortable when not fully inflated, but I can already see the added comfort when I'm awake.

Pros
  • Pleasant to use
Cons
  • Large and bulky
