Review on Sony ICF C218 Automatic Discontinued Manufacturer by Doug Davis

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Probably the best alarm clock I've ever had, with a good design.

This is one of the best alarm clocks I've had in terms of design. One of the best things that I love about it is that you can reach and press the snooze button without accidentally hitting another button and changing the time or turning the alarm off entirely. Setting the alarm and time is very easy and all controls are intuitive and easy to use. The display is a good size and has good brightness. It also has a nice form factor, not too big to take up bedside space but big enough for the controls to be easy to use and view from a distance. The term "automatic time setting" is somewhat misleading. It doesn't automatically adjust via radio waves like some other watches do. This means that you have preset the time at the factory. Theoretically, all you have to do is set the time zone and daylight saving time (if required). Mine was a few minutes behind the time though, so I still had to set the time and also set the time zone. The "auto time setting" feature didn't really save me any time, in fact it probably took me a bit longer to set this up than if the clock wasn't preset because I had to go through an extra time setting step. Time zone The radio works perfectly. There isn't much to say about that. Reception and sound quality are sufficient for clock radios. They remain accurate and the time does not move appreciably (more than a minute) for several months. Overall I am very satisfied with this watch and can recommend it.
