I was looking for something gentle with extra moisture to expand my skincare line. I wanted to add niacinamide to my routine but had to start at a very low level and in general I need very gentle products as my skin is extremely sensitive. Although it's mostly dry, I'm prone to hormonal acne and have some scars that I'd like to minimize. I am also very sensitive to synthetic fragrances. This product far exceeded my expectations! You use so little of it, even if you apply it twice a day, that its affordable price makes it incredible value for money. This product brightened my complexion and helped me get rid of excess layers of dead skin that had built up in some areas and I didn't realize how much that was causing dull, flaky skin. This essence has also helped a lot with general inflammation. I've noticed a reduction in redness around recent breakouts and hope to see more success with continued use. This product is very easy to use. Refreshing, no smell. There is definitely no disturbing smell. The biggest surprise with this product was what it did to my hands! We got a new puppy a few weeks ago and like all puppies he is always nibbling on me and often scratching my arms and forearms. I have pet allergies, which I can usually handle, but bites and scratches often cause additional irritation. Since I apply this product directly with my hands, I usually rub the excess with my hands. After an extremely active day with a puppy that resulted in more cuts, scrapes and bites than usual, as well as some visible swelling, I noticed that this product took the irritation out of my hands almost immediately. So I applied it to my forearms as well, and the result was amazing, blessed relief! I continue to use this product on my hands and forearms at night and it has absolutely accelerated my healing. was an amazing bonus that I didn't expect. I have ordered more even though it is needed in such small quantities that I should get 3 months from this bottle. I also shared it with my sister and teenage nieces. It's so gentle I think it would make a great skincare product for beginners. But it's not just an entry-level product. It's very well articulated. Absolutely the best skin care I have found in years. I definitely recommend this to others. (I already have.) I am so pleased with this product that I will be purchasing other Naturium products. I have not received any compensation for this review.
