I bought this clock for our camper van. We go out about once a month and the electric LED clock we had (not a projection clock) was fine, but I had to reset it every time and it was one of those clocks that aren't set with the normal sense can, so it would take me a few minutes to install it. So I looked for a watch with a backup battery and found this one. I've never owned a projection clock so when the clock arrived I wanted to try it out in our bedroom. Needless to say my husband and I enjoyed it. We both have a habit of waking up at night, lifting our heads and checking the clock to see how much sleep we can still get. Now we just stare at the ceiling. So a few days later I ordered another watch for the van because we kept it in our bedroom. Using it in the van was so great! When I turn off the clock with backup batteries installed, it turns off as if it were off. But three weeks later when I turn it back on it still shows the correct time! I've also told all my travel friends about it! Before purchasing this watch I read the reviews and several reviewers have complained that the watch is too bright at night. Either this issue has been fixed or I don't know what you are talking about. The clock emits a green light like any LED clock, and there's a dimming option that makes the glow almost invisible. As for the radio and alarm functions, I don't use them so I can't comment on the ease of use, but the radio sounded like a regular clock radio.
