I bought this set and three other identical sets at the same time. Unfortunately, I was a bit disappointed with all four sets. It was very unusual because I'm not usually that hard to please. My main complaint about these bowls was that even though they were sold and boxed as new, they all showed signs of wear. This may well be due to the fact that they were stored. and been on the shelf for so long, but that's just my guess. There are obvious dents on the inner layers of at least one of the shells. You can see a small speck of bare metal. However, I don't think it's big enough to affect the products stored inside. Also, they are a little smaller than I expected. If I saw these bowls on the shelf in the store I would see if there were others in better condition. And if not, then I probably would have refused to buy them. I half considered sending them back but at the time I just didn't have the money to pay for shipping. again, and while I was disappointed that it wasn't all nice and new, they looked just as good as the Callaway stuff I already had. In fact, they merged with everything. Galloway collected in 1994, and these are my everyday plates, bowls, etc., not my "good" stuff, so all shows signs of use and wear.) Anyhow, I thought I might keep them to myself. The lids fit snugly and are easy to clean. And so far there have been no stains. I'm glad I kept them.
