Not only are they cheaper than Bose, but they are also much better. I have trouble with noises like music outside, lawn mowers, buzz saws, kids playing basketball etc on my street. They block ALL of that noise when I'm listening to music or watching TV (I connected it to Bluetooth on my Surface through the TV). I don't listen at high volume. I have bipolar disorder and anxiety which makes me more receptive to noises, noises etc and they have worked great for me at the airport and on the plane to shut everything out. The controls are easy to use and the pause switch is great for chatting with people or answering questions as if you were on an airplane. They're a little bulky, but all headphones are like that. The case they came with is as good as any and actually has room for a cable that wasn't shown in the pictures. You can get them in black from Target and Best Buy, although I really liked the blue and it was a steal. This is not a trash can and everything has been sealed and not repaired in any way. A solid bet.
