Review on πŸ”’ Efficient Fellowes 63Cb Jam Blocker: Premium 10-Sheet Cross-Cut Shredder for Junk Mail, Paper, and Credit Cards by Mark Crawford

Revainrating 2 out of 5

The plastic hopper door and hopper body are poorly constructed.

My previous Fellowes shredder was well made and lasted 16 years before finally breaking. I ordered a 63cb as a spare but was disappointed on first use. Most of the time, the door open indicator (red) would come on, causing the shredder to stop. I had to constantly adjust the bin door to turn off the light, often in the middle of a shredding project. The bin door has multiple screw points that are used to mate with the bin frame. These screws attach to molded plastic brackets on the trash can frame, but these brackets are poorly designed. In my case, one of the plastic brackets broke, causing the front of the door to come loose. No repair. The chopper engine itself worked well, but the body of the machine, including the hopper, was weak and poorly designed. The item has been returned for a refund.

Pros
  • Great for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Not sure
