I just received the product today and started using it to see how heavy it would be. I was able to figure out how to use the tool properly by following the instructions. I made a test frame for the instax mini using the same cut paper as the instax mini. It helped that I started from the top right corner (paper side up) and adjusted the top and side settings accordingly. I used 0.5" for the top and 0.25" for the side and then punched through. Then I rotated the paper around the vertical axis (so that the paper was upside down) and pierced the left corner. I didn't have to make any settings for this. For the bottom corner hits, I just changed the top value to 0.75 inches. As another reviewer previously wrote, the window for the frame didn't match the film itself. After much experimenting, I found a solution for instax mini so that 98% of the picture can be seen through the frame.1. Precut the desired paper to be 2.25" wide and 3 5/8"2 long. The top thickness setting is 0.5 in3. The page thickness setting is 0.25 inch4. The bottom thickness is 0.75 inches. The external dimensions of the frame are larger than the external dimensions of the instax mini. If that bothers you, you can simply cut off the excess from the frame. Enjoy!
