This is a water insoluble paste. I have tried many and none of them have held up my very poor dentures. THIS substance not only keeps ill-fitting dentures in place, it keeps them in place for 24 hours and I CAN EAT most foods! I don't recommend wearing ill-fitting dentures, but after many tries I've given up on good ones. What I have found with this brand is that it is applied sparingly, but applied to the entire area that extends to the mouth. I use a tiny spatula, well it's actually the flat side of a plastic orange peel :) It should be on dry dentures, I only dab mine when there's moisture left on it. I also use a paper towel and wipe my gums where the dentures meet. I hold her tight and don't eat or drink anything for half an hour. good to go If for some reason I've had too much to drink and feel a leak in my back, I just use a tissue and wipe it off. I have also found that it is much easier for me to clean my dentures and mouth if I leave them overnight (24 hours). When I take them off at night before bed they are still very sticky and very difficult to remove from dentures and especially gums. Savior, really!
