This was exactly what I was looking for to be able to remove the camera pocket from the front of the backpack. I attached them to the shoulder straps and backpack and placed the camera in the front where it's easy to reach and helps balance the weight of the backpack. I don't feel that the straps, connectors, clips or loops are unreliable or not up to the task and I think they will last quite a long time. Connections. Unbuttoned, one is male, the other female. This means I can connect the two ends together to make a grip for the camera body. I also bought an Op/Tech neck strap for my camera with the same quick connectors. If I feel like it, I can attach this camera directly to the straps of my everyday backpack or attach the camera case to the strap I usually wear around my neck. Overall I'm very happy with the system and feel like it securely holds my expensive camera and lens exactly where I want it.
