Review on Review: Speck SmartShell Case for MacBook Pro 13-Inch, Steel Blue - Not for Retina Macbook by Chuck Chen

Case cracked about two weeks after receipt. The edge broke when I went to get my laptop. It has never been dropped or subjected to any sort of injury, just a micro tear that cut through the plastic from the pressure my fingers applied when lifting the computer off the table. I'm assuming it's still functional (still) but I figured the plastic would be more durable or flexible. Instead, the plastic is extremely rigid, almost like glass. It now feels more delicate than before I had this case, which I think has the unintended benefit of being gentler on the laptop. Edit: Ten minutes after this review I tried to put my computer on my bedside table. I heard a snap as I picked it up. Now there are two cracks in the case and this actually prevents the back cover from sticking.
