I haven't had a chance to use the DPN but I have felt and checked every detail and so far there are no imperfections, nicks or chips. The tips are pointed rather than skewer-like, and the included handy extras really top off the set; You don't need to buy anything to get started! I used circular needles and started knitting the handbag in basket stitch. The yarns are easy to put on and take off the nylon cord and are really easy to work with. I also had no problems with the yarn sticking to the needles! Overall, I highly recommend this product/set! It was perfect for my use!
