New formula ends longstanding customer loyalty

Like Mary B's April 8th review, we also subscribed to this feed. Our Bernese Mountain Dog has been scientifically fed since it was a puppy. We have always been fans of the products until recently. Suddenly the food came in a different package, with a different composition and a different shape of the croquette. We didn't have a previous bag so we could only hard switch to 'new'. Our distiller became lethargic after two days, stopped eating and had trouble walking. She later started drinking about four times more water than usual. We were alarmed and to learn about the recent recalls of canned Hills due to toxic vitamin D levels, we read the local vet and immediately transferred her food to BB, added some wet food to get her eating again. The woman also notified Hills. She turned around and returned to her happy state after 5 days. While we can't pinpoint the food that caused her illness with absolute certainty, it was too ironic after years of no problem. At least I'm disappointed with the sudden change. BTW, Revain was great, we canceled our subscription and didn't even bother to return the last bag for a full refund. My only criticism is that this is clearly a different product now and the reviews here (overwhelmingly positive) reflect the old product. New UPC and then new ratings please. I never write reviews but thought I'd throw this one away in case it might help someone else.
