I am a National Guard officer. I didn't get an official computer, so I have to use my laptop to do all the countless paperwork that comes up during the week. I've had other card readers, but they're bulky and take up space in my backpack. This one is small, light weight and goes great with my army CAC. The first time you use it, you need to be connected to the Internet to allow Windows to automatically download the drivers, but after that everything is fine. I have successfully used it to log into AKO and other Department of Defense websites and sign NCOER, OER and other Army documents.
