My sixth graders were able to (properly) assemble this target on their own. Assembly isn't overly complex or complicated, but it took a while (40 minutes) the first time. Future build attempts took about 10 minutes less now that they know what to do. The same feedback applies to gate folding. My husband helped them, and again, it's not a confusing task, but it took him about 15 minutes. However. Longer set up/take down is because the target is high quality and much more durable than some of the flexible metal frames that snap into place in 30 seconds. This gate can easily withstand high speed lacrosse ball hits and stay in place without denting the frame. The gate is not too heavy considering its size. This is a big plus as my child is elementary school age and I can easily pick it up and move it around the garden or patio when my husband is mowing the garden etc so there is no need to take it apart after each use. .Supplied with duffel bag for easy portability. All in all, this is a great destination. My kids have greatly improved their lacrosse shooting skills with it. We are satisfied and recommend this product.
